But is this understanding correct? Will the Lord really come to rapture us according to our notions and imaginings? Will we really be able to greet the Lord by just waiting blindly for Him to come with clouds? Let’s seek on this issue through Sister Anwei’s experience of awaiting the Lord and welcoming Him.

Having believed in the Lord for ten years, I had read the New Testament so many times, and I had some understanding of the scripture, so I fully believed that I had the ability to understand. Yet, after attending an entirely new kind of discussion the other day, I felt ashamed of what I had thought. As I raise my head to look out of the window, I’m lost in my memory …
After listening to Brother Wang’s fellowship, I suddenly saw the light, and I thought, “When I read this verse before, I merely understood that the Bible acted as a testimony for God and I believed that one had to keep to the Bible in one’s faith in God, but I overlooked the fact that God is the truth, the way and the life.
When my daughter woke me up, I realized that I’d fallen asleep again during prayers, and I felt very guilty. I slapped my legs that had gone numb from kneeling for so long, stood up, and walked over to the window. As I gazed at the clear, bright moon hanging in the night sky, I couldn’t help but slip into recollections of the past.

Speaking of the return of the Lord, it is written in Matthew 24:36: “But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” No one can know when the Lord Jesus will return, so how do you know that the Lord Jesus has returned already?
Every time I read these two verses, I would imagine the splendid scene of the returned Lord judging mankind in the last days. I thought that at that time the Lord Jesus would sit upon the great white throne in the sky with the records of every person in His hands, and imposingly judge them all. I continued to stick to this notion until I heard God’s good news.
