January 25th is the first day of the lunar new year in China. To us Chinese, it is a time of reunion of the whole family. However, in the new year, Corona virus is wreaking havoc in China. Many people have died from the virus, while, many suspects have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Public transport has been halted in Wuhan city of China due to the threat of corona virus. Health emergency has been implemented in other cities of China including Wuhan. It is said that hundreds of Indians are stranded in China. About 25 Indian students are staying in Wuhan alone, including 20 from Kerala. When hearing this news, I was shocked.
I can’t help but think of the riot and flood that occurred in India not long ago, and the fire in Australia that never happened in history, which led to five hundred million animals died in the fire and many houses destroyed.
In recent months, disasters all over the world are far more serious and frequent than ever, which are all rare in history. Facing this, we cannot but think: Though disasters happen all along, why they now become greater and more frequent, and the scope they spread to is wider and wider?
