Why Does God’s Name Change?

Why Does God’s Name Change?

In 1998, I began to believe in the Lord Jesus because of an illness. After I started to believe in the Lord and go to church, our pastors and elders often preached to us, “Neither is there salvation in any other” (Acts 4:12). “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8). They also told us that only by keeping the name of the Lord Jesus and praying to His name at all times could we gain salvation and enter the kingdom of heaven when the Lord returned.

A few years just flew by. One day, one of the elders said to us, “There is a church called Eastern Lightning. They say that the Lord has come back and He has done a stage of new work and expressed new words. His name is Almighty God. What they say doesn’t match the Bible. It’s written in the Bible, ‘Neither is there salvation in any other’ (Acts 4:12). ‘Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever’ (Hebrews 13:8). Brothers and sisters, only the Lord Jesus Christ is our Savior. Only by trusting in His name can we be saved. God’s name won’t change at any time. But the followers of Eastern Lightning say that God’s name has changed, and that He is no longer called the Lord Jesus but Almighty God. This is denying the Lord’s salvation and betraying the Lord. Now they are spreading their gospel everywhere to steal our flock. So none of us should entertain any strangers at home. We can’t listen to any preaching that leads us away from the name of the Lord Jesus. If we are stolen by them we’ll be abandoned by the Lord when he returns….” After I heard the elder’s words, I thought: “The elder knows the Bible well, and he is the leading sheep of our church. So what he says must be right. The Lord Jesus was crucified for the redemption of mankind. Only Jesus is our Savior under heaven and only by believing in His name can we be saved. The Lord’s name will never change at any time….” After that, I prayed often, and asked the Lord to guard me so that I could keep His name and would not listen to the sermons from Eastern Lightning’s followers, even if they were my relatives, friends or acquaintances.

One day at a meeting, Sister Yu whispered to me, “My neighbor is a believer in Almighty God. He told me ‘Jehovah, Jesus and Almighty God are one God. Though they are called by different names, it doesn’t mean that they are not one God. He gave me a CD of hymns. For the sake of saving face I was unwilling to refuse him, so I accepted it. My daughter just happened to be at home and played the CD. I heard some of the hymns. They are wonderful …” Hearing this, I interrupted her immediately and said, “How can you be so bold? We can’t listen to their songs. The elders often tell us that believers in Almighty God don’t believe in the name of the Lord Jesus and that we shouldn’t listen to their preaching and hymns. Have you forgotten all that? How can you be so silly? …” Sister Yu kept nodding with fear as she listened to me speaking. Once she went back home, she returned the CD to the neighbor and promised never to contact him again. When I learned about that, I was very glad and thought that I was loyal to the Lord in warning her. Later, more and more people came to our village to preach the gospel of Almighty God. But every time I met them, I always walked away to avoid them.

One day in March of 2003, I was having lunch at home when I heard someone knocking at the door. I thought it was my brother or sister, so I hastily ran to open the door, only to see two unfamiliar young women standing in front of me. I didn’t want to allow them to speak, so I closed the door. They shouted outside, “Aunty, please open the door. Our long-expected Lord Jesus has really come back.” I replied angrily, “Go! Go! Go! Go away quickly! You want to draw me into your beliefs? No way!” After saying this, I turned and went back to my lunch. A few days later, when I was preparing the dinner, I heard Bam! Bam! Bam! on the door. I thought: “Have the believers of Almighty God come again? Well, I didn’t give them face last time, surely they can’t have come again so soon?” With a suspicious attitude, I went to open the door, only to find it was the two women that came last time. So I yelled angrily, “You two again?! ...” With that, I slammed the door. Full of anger and hatred in my heart, I thought: “How come the believers of the Almighty God keep coming to preach the gospel to me? They are attempting to make me give up the name of the Lord Jesus, but that’s impossible.” As I was thinking this, I heard their voices coming from outside again, “Aunty, our Lord Jesus has really come back. Almighty God is the Lord Jesus we’ve longed for day and night. Please open the door and listen to us…” I shouted to them, “Go away quickly! I’ll never listen to your preaching. I only believe in the Lord Jesus. Only the Lord Jesus is our Savior under heaven. It’s enough for me to have the Lord Jesus. Go away!” After saying this, I came to pray to God, “O loving heavenly Father Jehovah, Savior Jesus Christ, Abba Father, I know that the Lord is my only reliance, and that only by relying on the Lord Jesus can I be saved. O Lord, please keep me from being disturbed or dragged into their group.” After my prayer, I got back to doing my things while humming a song: “Rock, rock, Jesus Christ, neither is there salvation in any other….” I have no idea how long they stayed before they left.

The next morning, after I finished my breakfast, it became gloomy and the wind started to blow strongly. After a while, it began to rain heavily. Suddenly I heard Bam! Bam! Bam!—there was someone pounding at my door again. I thought: “Have those two women come again?” I prayed to the Lord in hurry and asked Him to keep my heart safe. Yet a few minutes later, the banging on the door came again. I thought: “It’s raining so hard outside. If they are my relatives or friends and are left outside the door, what will they think of me?” Thinking of this, I went to open the door. It was indeed the two women. Before I could open my mouth to speak, they both eagerly called me, “Aunty …” The rain was trickling down their cheeks, wetting the thin clothes they wore and they shook with cold. At that time, I didn’t have the heart to shut them out. And I also remembered the words of the Lord Jesus, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers” (Hebrews 13:2). So I let them in. Looking at their wet clothes, I couldn’t help thinking: “We are all believers in God. Why do they suffer this?” I wanted to give them towels to dry themselves and ask them to change out of their damp clothes into something dry, but the elder’s warning occurred to me then. I thought: “If I give them towels and clothes, they will have more reason to come to my house to preach the gospel. If that happens, I will have ruined myself due to my sympathy and I will be forsaken by the Lord when He returns. That would be too silly.” I was irritable and agitated, and overwhelmed with regret at allowing them to come in. Then I noticed that they helped one another smooth their wet hair, and kept saying, “Thank God. Thank God…” I said unhappily, “It’s so stormy today. Why do you suffer this? You needn’t have made the effort for me. Whatever you say, I won’t listen. I only believe in the Lord Jesus. I won’t believe in any other gods.” Hearing this, they didn’t get angry but smiled and one of them said patiently to me, “Aunty, we can understand your feelings. I also used to believe that only by trusting in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ can we be saved, and that God’s name can only be Jesus. So, I could never figure out why Almighty God is the returned Lord Jesus and how the name of the Lord Jesus can change. Later, I read the verse in the Old Testament, ‘I, even I, am the Jehovah; and beside me there is no savior’ (Isaiah 43:11). How can these words be explained? It is clearly said in the verse that there is no savior but Jehovah and that Jehovah is His name forever. But why did the name of Jehovah become Jesus? What is God’s name? Jesus? Or Jehovah?” These words stunned me. Actually, our elders had also talked about this problem before, telling us that the heavenly Father was called Jehovah, His beloved son was called Jesus, and they were one God. I couldn’t understand why they were one God but were called by different names. I never found the answer. As time passed, I forgot about it. And that day, when this question was suddenly raised again, I still had no answer.

Another sister continued saying, “Aunty, it is said in the revelation 1:8, ‘I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending … which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.’ From the verse we can see that we all believe in one God. That God has different names is just because the ages are different. He has one name for every age. Thus, after God finishes one step of work and begins the work of a new age He will have a new name. Such as in the Age of Law, God’s name was Jehovah; in the Age of Grace, it was Jesus; and in the Age of Kingdom today it is Almighty God. Jehovah, Jesus and Almighty God are one God. Although God’s name changes because the age is different, the purpose of God’s work of salvation hasn’t changed. Now, the work of the Age of Grace has concluded. God has revealed the mysteries in Revelation and begun to do the work of the Age of Kingdom with the name of Almighty God.…” What the sister was saying was very strange to me. I’d never heard someone say that God has one name for every age. What they said seemed to make sense. But I remembered the elder once said, “No matter the time or era, God’s name won’t change. We shouldn’t listen to anything which asks us to depart from the name of the Lord Jesus. Eastern Lightning followers don’t even cling to the name of the Lord Jesus….” I knew I shouldn’t listen to them any longer. If I followed their belief, wouldn’t my believing in the Lord for so long have been in vain? At the thought of this, I didn’t dare to listen more. I interrupted her and said impatiently, “The rain has relented now. You can go, and please never come again. I am really too busy to believe in your God. You needn’t waste your time on me. I won’t listen to you again.” As I was saying this, I opened the door and saw them out. Seeing my firm attitude, the two sisters left reluctantly.

After they left, I kept wondering why they were so zealous when we are all believers in God. I treated them coldly and refused them again and again, but they still maintained their faith. And they even told me, “We believe in one God … In the Age of Law God’s name was Jehovah, in the Age of Grace was Jesus and in the Age of Kingdom is Almighty God. Although God’s name changes, the purpose of God’s work of saving mankind doesn’t change. God has different names because each age is different….” Thinking about this, I hurriedly opened Revelation to check. Then I found that the Almighty is mentioned in many verses such as, “We give you thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which are, and were, and are to come; because you have taken to you your great power, and have reigned” (Revelation 11:17). “Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigns” (Revelation 19:6). Does the Almighty refer to Almighty God? I was bewildered: I often read the Bible in my daily life, but why hadn’t I noticed those verses? Why hadn’t the pastors and elders talked about that? They said God’s name wouldn’t ever change, but why did the name of Jehovah change into Jesus? And what about the Revelation prophecy that God would be called Almighty God? What to make of this? These questions and the two sisters’ words kept echoing in my mind. And the more I thought about them, the more I was confused. I didn’t know what to do, so I knelt before the Lord to pray, “O Lord, You know I understand little about the Bible and that I have no discernment, either. Now I feel quite upset and confused since I don’t know why Your name has changed. Will you still be called Jesus when You return? I am not willing to lose Your salvation. May You inspire and guide me….”

And thus I grew restless over the next few days. In meetings, the pastors and elders still repeatedly warned us to be cautious about Eastern Lightning followers and not to entertain strangers. But seeing that there were only a few people attending the meetings, and how deserted the church looked, I felt even more desolate and helpless. The elders always preached the same sermons and I couldn’t gain anything from them any more. So I often thought to myself: “Why do the believers of Eastern Lightning have such great faith? I shut them out several times, but they still kept preaching the gospel to me in spite of the wind and rain. What are they really doing it for?” Confused and conflicted, I could only pray to the Lord again, “O Lord, I can’t sense Your presence at all. Where are you now? The brothers’ and sisters’ faith has grown cold, and fewer and fewer people come to the meetings. Could it be that You have really done new work using the name Almighty God? Oh Lord, please guide me so that I won’t lose my way.” After praying, I recalled that more and more people in my village had begun to believe in Almighty God those two years. There must be some reason for it. And the Lord Jesus once said, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). It seemed that my blindly rejecting the gospel of Almighty God was really not in line with the Lord’s will. The Lord has given me a strong and courageous heart, but I didn’t dare to even contact the believers of Almighty God as I was so timid and fearful. It was evident that I had been tricked by Satan. When I thought it through, I felt more secure, and decided to listen carefully to the people from Eastern Lightning if they came to me again.

One day, when I was reading the Bible at home, the two sisters came. I calmly let them come in.

I said, “After you left that day, I studied some verses in the Bible and found what you said was reasonable. In my heart, I had always thought only Jesus Christ is the Savior and God’s name is Jesus, because the Bible says, ‘Neither is there salvation in any other’ (Acts 4:12). But you said that the Lord Jesus has come back, and His name is Almighty God. That is, Jehovah, Jesus and Almighty God are one God. I really couldn’t figure out why God’s name changes.”

One of them answered, “Thank God. The question why God’s name changes is connected to His management plan of saving mankind. Every time when God starts a new stage of work, He will take a different name to represent the new age and the new work. God never holds on to the old, so when He begins to do His work of the new age, His name will change accordingly. Almighty God’s words state this truth more clearly. Let’s see what Almighty God said.

Almighty God said: ‘In each age, God does new work and is called by a new name; how could He do the same work in different ages? How could He cling to the old? The name of Jesus was taken for the sake of the work of redemption, so would He still be called by the same name when He returns in the last days? Would He still be doing the work of redemption? Why is it that Jehovah and Jesus are one, yet They are called by different names in different ages? Is it not because the ages of Their work are different? Could a single name represent God in His entirety? This being so, God must be called by a different name in a different age, and He must use the name to change the age and to represent the age. For no one name can fully represent God Himself, and each name is able only to represent the temporal aspect of God’s disposition in a given age; all it needs to do is to represent His work. Therefore, God can choose whatever name befits His disposition to represent the entire age. … Supposing that the work of God in every age is always the same, and He is always called by the same name, how would man know Him? God must be called Jehovah, and apart from a God called Jehovah, anyone called by any other name is not God. Or else God can only be Jesus, and apart from the name of Jesus He may not be called by any other name; apart from Jesus, Jehovah is not God, and Almighty God is not God either. Man believes it is true that God is almighty, but God is a God who is with man, and He must be called Jesus, for God is with man. To do this is to conform to doctrine, and to confine God to a certain scope. So, in every age, the work that God does, the name by which He is called, and the image that He assumes—the work He does in every stage all the way down to today—these do not follow a single regulation, and are not subject to any limitations whatsoever. He is Jehovah, but He is also Jesus, as well as Messiah, and Almighty God. His work can undergo gradual transformation, with corresponding changes in His name. No single name can fully represent Him, but all the names by which He is called are able to represent Him, and the work that He does in every age represents His disposition’ (“The Vision of God’s Work (3)”in The Word Appears in the Flesh).

Almighty God’s words reveal the mysteries of God’s name to us: God’s work is never old and is different in every age, and so His name changes accordingly with the different age. God uses His name to distinguish between ages, carry out new work and represent His disposition. Just as in the Age of Law: God called Moses using the name Jehovah and made him lead the Israelites out of Egypt, and then began the Age of Law. Also, with the name Jehovah, God issued laws and commandments, and expressed to the people of that age His disposition of wrath, curse and mercy. In the Age of Grace, God became flesh, and had the name Jesus. He ended the Age of Law and started the work of the Age of Grace. The age changed, and God’s name changed accordingly. From then on, mankind was saved and forgiven their sins for their faith, and was no longer condemned by law. Our era is already the last days, and although we have been given redemption by the Lord Jesus, we often live in sin and are unable to escape the bondage of sin, because the work that the Lord Jesus did was only redemption rather than purifying and transforming mankind’s sinful nature. Therefore, in the last days, the Lord Jesus returned to flesh and ushered in the Age of Kingdom with the name Almighty God. He has loosened the seven seals, opened the book, and expressed His words to start the work of judging, chastising, purifying and perfecting mankind. From God’s work, we can see that God’s name is not unchanged; rather, it changes as His work and the age change. This is the reason why the name Jehovah became the name Jesus, and why the name Jesus was changed to Almighty God.”

I listened and felt her fellowshiping was well-founded, then I said, “In the past, the elders often said, ‘The heavenly Father is called Jehovah and His beloved son is called Jesus. They are one God.’ At that time, I couldn’t understand why Jehovah and Jesus have different names since they are one God. Now I know God’s work of saving mankind changed and that the ages changed too, so God’s name changed correspondingly. This is really profound. But why does the Bible say, ‘Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever’ (Hebrews 13:8). Why is that?”

The other sister answered, “Although this verse says God is immutable, it doesn’t mean that God’s name is immutable. We can learn from God’s words above that His name is applicable only to the present age and that it won’t last forever. The ‘forever’ mentioned here means God’s disposition and God’s substance are immutable. Let’s see what Almighty God says.

Almighty God says, ‘There are those who say that God is immutable. That is correct, but it refers to the immutability of God’s disposition and His essence. Changes in His name and work do not prove that His essence has altered; in other words, God will always be God, and this will never change. If you say that the work of God is unchanging, then would He be able to finish His six-thousand-year management plan? You only know that God is forever unchanging, but do you know that God is always new and never old? If the work of God is unchanging, then could He have led mankind all the way to the present day? If God is immutable, then why is it that He has already done the work of two ages? ... the words “God is immutable” refer to what God inherently has and is. Regardless, you cannot make the work of six thousand years hinge upon a single point, or circumscribe it with dead words. Such is the stupidity of man. God is not as simple as man imagines, and His work cannot linger in any one age’ (“The Vision of God’s Work (3)” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).”

After reading God’s word, she went on fellowshiping, “From Almighty God’s words we can see that God’s immutability refers to the immutability of His substance. Although in different ages God has different names and reveals different dispositions, His substance and original disposition doesn’t change. For instance, God’s main disposition in the Age of Law was manifested in burning and cursing, and in the Age of Grace it was mercy and compassion. But God’s original disposition of compassion and mercy, majesty and wrath, righteousness and holiness remains forever unchanged. So does what God has and is, such as His wisdom, humility, hiddenness, and so on. Moreover, God’s will of saving mankind never changes. There is always the same God doing the work of salvation.”

The other sister said, “Yes, if we think that God’s name is immutable based on our notions and imaginings, we will easily create parameters for God. Just as when the Lord Jesus came to do His work, the Jewish Pharisees didn’t know Him, nor did they know that God’s name would change with the age and His work. So, for generations, they clung to the verse for generations ‘Jehovah … is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations’ (Exodus 3:15). They thought only Jehovah was their Savior, was their God. So when God did His work of redemption with the name Jesus, they searched for every flaw with the Lord Jesus, thus condemning and resisting Him. And then they nailed Him onto the cross and thus committed a heinous crime. If we, like them, hold onto the opinion that God’s name can never change, aren’t we following in their footsteps? This way, we’ll resist God easily.”

After listening to the sisters’ fellowshiping, my heart was much brighter but I also felt very sad. I’d always believed that God’s name is immutable, but in fact I’d known nothing about what that immutability meant. Today, their fellowshiping really made this question clear. Only through their fellowshiping and God’s words, did I realize that this verse doesn’t mean that God’s name is immutable but refers to the immutability of God’s substance, God’s righteous disposition, and what God has and is. All along, I’d been clinging to the name of the Lord and refused to listen to the brothers and sisters who preached the gospel of Almighty God. I had unwittingly made myself one who abandoned the Lord. Then I asked again, “Through your fellowshiping, I understand that when God starts to do His new work, His name will change accordingly. And His name represents His work and disposition in each age. Please fellowship in detail what work God is doing with the name Almighty God and what disposition this name represents.”

She replied, “Thank God. This directly involves the crucial matter of whether we can be saved by God. Let’s continue to search Almighty God’s words for the answer.

Almighty God says, ‘In His final work of concluding the age, God’s disposition is one of chastisement and judgment, in which He reveals all that is unrighteous, in order to publicly judge all peoples, and to perfect those who love Him with a sincere heart. Only a disposition such as this can bring the age to an end. The last days have already arrived. All things in creation will be separated according to their kind, and divided into different categories based on their nature. This is the moment when God reveals humanity’s outcome and their destination. If people do not undergo chastisement and judgment, then there will be no way of exposing their disobedience and unrighteousness. Only through chastisement and judgment can the outcome of all creation be revealed. Man only shows his true colors when he is chastised and judged. Evil shall be put with evil, good with good, and all humanity shall be separated according to their kind. Through chastisement and judgment, the outcome of all creation will be revealed, so that the evil may be punished and the good rewarded, and all people become subject to the dominion of God. All this work must be achieved through righteous chastisement and judgment. Because man’s corruption has reached its peak and his disobedience become exceedingly severe, only God’s righteous disposition, one that is principally compounded of chastisement and judgment and is revealed during the last days, can fully transform and complete man. Only this disposition can expose evil and thus severely punish all the unrighteous. Therefore, a disposition such as this is imbued with the significance of the age, and the revelation and exhibition of His disposition is made manifest for the sake of the work of each new age. It is not that God reveals His disposition arbitrarily and without significance’ (“The Vision of God’s Work (3)” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). ‘People have never engaged with Me, never known Me, and have always been ignorant of My disposition. From the creation of the world until today, not one person has seen Me. This is the God who appears to man in the last days but is hidden among man. He resides among man, true and real, like the burning sun and the blazing flame, filled with power and brimming with authority. There is not a single person or thing that shall not be judged by My words, and not a single person or thing that shall not be purified through the burning of fire. Eventually, all nations shall be blessed because of My words, and also smashed to pieces because of My words. In this way, all people during the last days shall see that I am the Savior returned, and that I am the Almighty God that conquers all of mankind. And all shall see that I was once the sin offering for man, but that in the last days I also become the flames of the sun that incinerate all things, as well as the Sun of righteousness that reveals all things. This is My work in the last days. I took this name and am possessed of this disposition so that all people may see that I am a righteous God, the burning sun, the blazing flame, and so that all may worship Me, the one true God, and so that they may see My true face: I am not only the God of the Israelites, and I am not just the Redeemer; I am the God of all creatures throughout the heavens and the earth and the seas’ (“The Savior Has Already Returned Upon a ‘White Cloud’” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).

From Almighty God’s words we can understand that in the last days, the Lord Jesus has returned to flesh with the name Almighty God. He has His righteous and majestic disposition that tolerates no offense, and has started His work of judgment and chastisement. He uses words of judgment and chastisement to reveal and dissect mankind’s satanic nature, one that resists God, hates the truth, and makes us an enemy of God. All those who can accept and obey God’s judgment and chastisement come to know their own corrupted nature, their selfishness and baseness, arrogance and conceit, as well as God’s holiness and righteousness. They see God’s goodness, faithfulness, humbleness and loveliness, thus reaching a state of hating themselves and then forsaking themselves so as to gradually shake off their deep-rooted sinful nature and live by God’s words. This is one of the effects that Almighty God’s work of judgment and chastisement will achieve in the last days. Meanwhile, through God’s judgment and chastisement, the true believers and false believers, the tares and wheat, goats and sheep, the servants of good and evil are all revealed. When God’s work comes to an end, He will group everyone according to their kind and complete His work of rewarding the good and punishing the evil. In the last days, only Almighty God’s righteous disposition, which is principally one of chastisement and judgment, can thoroughly purify and transform people, conclude the old age, reward the good and punish the evil, and take mankind to a wonderful destination. Therefore, God takes the name Almighty God in the final age—this is determined by the righteous disposition of God and the work He carries out in the last days.”

I said, “Now I understand. In a new age, God changes His name and expresses His righteous and majestic disposition. Only in this way can God do the work of judging and purifying us and rewarding the good and punishing the wicked. Thinking back to my past, I often lived sinfully and couldn’t obey the Lord’s way. But if I continue to stick to the name Jesus instead of accepting Almighty God, and keep believing that God is love and mercy and has forgiven my sins, I will never get rid of my sinful nature and attain sanctity. Almighty God’s words really carry authority and power, and brim with His righteous disposition that tolerates no offense. Now I truly understand that changing Jesus’ name to Almighty God is to save mankind and is what corrupted mankind most needs.”

The other sister said, “That’s right. We can learn from God’s work that no matter how God works, it is all for the sake of mankind. Let’s read another passage of Almighty God’s words.”

I said gladly, “Let me read it.” She opened the book and then handed it to me.

Almighty God said, “The day will arrive when God is not called Jehovah, Jesus, or Messiah—He will simply be the Creator. At that time, all the names that He has taken on earth shall come to an end, for His work on earth will have come to an end, after which His names shall be no more. When all things come under the dominion of the Creator, what need has He of a highly appropriate yet incomplete name? Are you still seeking after God’s name now? Do you still dare to say that God is only called Jehovah? Do you still dare to say that God can only be called Jesus? Are you able to bear the sin of blasphemy against God?” (“The Vision of God’s Work (3)” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).

She said, “God is the Creator. He didn’t have a name at first. In order to save mankind, God takes different names for Himself in different ages and has continued to provide for and lead mankind all the way until today. When God has completed all of His work of salvation, mankind will be purified and transformed and we will have the likeness of normal human beings. At that time, God will just be the Creator again. He will no longer have a name. We’ll just call God the Creator.”

Hearing the sisters’ fellowshipping, I felt settled and brightened in my heart. I understood a lot about the truth of God’s name: God is always new and never old, and when He comes to do His new work in the last days, He will surely take a new name. If we think He will still be called Jesus, aren’t we setting rules and limits for God? Looking back over the past years, because I didn’t understand the truth and clung to the literal understanding of the verses in the Bible, I refused God’s gospel time and again. I was really absurd and blind. But Almighty God ignored how I disobeyed Him, and still arranged for the sisters to preach the gospel to me. It was indeed God’s favor and He has lifted me up. Now I only desire to read more of Almighty God’s words, repent to Him and cooperate with Him so that I can bring before Him other brothers and sisters who are still tightly bound by the pastors and elders and their own religious conceptions. All the glory be to Almighty God!
