Do you know the significance of God’s names?
Brothers and sisters, peace in the Lord! Do you want to know the significance of God’s names? Why does God have a new name in each stage of new work? In the Age of Law, God’s name was Jehovah, and God’s name was Jesus in the Age of Grace. I think of Revelation 3:11-12, “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you have, that no man take your crown. Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write on him my new name”. These verses mention “I come quickly”, “my new name”, and, “the name of the city of my God”. That is to say, there will be a stage of new work when God comes, and there will be a new name of God.
