Many biblical prophecies say the Lord will return as the Son of man in the last days. what does son of man mean in the bible? little known mystery hides in “the Son of man”!
I followed my grandfather to believe in God from my childhood. When I was in high school, I often heard my grandfather say, “Now it is already in the last days, the Lord is coming very soon. We must be watchful and waiting, thus, we won’t miss the Lord’s return, for the Lord said, ‘Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not’(Luke 12:40).” My grandfather also often asked me to recite the scriptures concerning the Lord’s return, “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be”(Matthew 24:37), “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be”(Matthew 24:27), “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation”(Luke 17:24-25). I’ve been very familiar with these scriptures since childhood. These scriptures mention the way of the Lord’s return in the last days is “the Son of man comes” and “the coming of the Son of man”. But my grandfather never told me what “the Son of man comes” and “the coming of the Son of man” refers to. What a kind of mystery is hidden in “the Son of man”? Two years ago, I got to know sister Kerry on Facebook. One day she invited me to attend their Bible Study fellowship in which we discuss a topic about the Lord’s return. The preacher shared with us a movie clip. Through the movie clip and the preacher’s fellowship, I come to know that there is a great mystery in the words of ""the Son of man"". Brothers and sisters, do you want to know the mystery within? Watch now movie clip “THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS”| The Mystery of the Coming of the Son of Man, and look for the answer.
Speaking of the Lord's return, the Lord Jesus said, "Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not" (Luke 12: 40). "For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation" (Luke 17:24-25). These prophecies mention "the Son of man comes" or "the coming of the Son of man," so what exactly is meant by "the coming of the Son of man"? In what way will the Lord Jesus make His return?
